Before the New Year, HR Advance released its Casual conversion award covered letter. This correspondence can be used by employers whose employees are covered by an award or enterprise agreement and who are seeking to:
•    offer casual conversion to those employees; or
•    are required to notify their employees about their right to request casual conversion under the terms of an award.

We also have a notification of casual conversion letter, in case employers have not notified their casuals of the recent changes in light of the Fair Work decision on employing long-term casuals.

HR Advance has released a Casual Conversion – Award Free letter, in light of the recent Fair Work decision on employing long-term casuals.

The decision affects many employees currently described by employers as ‘casuals’.  HR Advance created this letter to assist employers in mitigating risk with a casual conversion letter.

HR Advance has released an update to the Training & Licences Register; a feature designed to increase company productivity by ensuring all essential employee documentation such as certificates, licences, training and qualifications are up-to date, with preventative measures put in place such as automated alerts and notifications.

HR Advance has created a domestic violence policy, outlining the leave and support entitlements offered to employees who are subject to domestic or family violence. The Fair Work Commission has released the final domestic violence leave model clause to be inserted into all modern awards, with domestic violence leave available from 1 August 2018.

The policy can be used by all employers throughout Australia, except the following excluded employers:
- Non-constitutional corporation employers in Western Australia;

- State public sector employers (ie employees of a Minister, the Governor or the Crown) in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania; and

- Local Government employers in New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia

-  Logged in users can directly download the document from the preview button

-  Consumption history of document presented in the document detail page

-  Short company name automatically loads

-  Direct download of documents where there are no questions involved for the subscriber

HR Advance had numerous updates this month, including:

- Find a consultant: “Find a Consultant” functionality is now accessible from the top navigation

 - Notification emails will be sent to HR Advance users to notify them: when documents sent to an employee to confirm their acceptance have been submitted and when any employee training & licence details that have been entered into the system are due to expire

- Bulk import employees: HR Advance users can now quickly import employees in bulk with any CSV file via a simple drag and drop interface.

- List View on Employee page: introduced a list view option within the Employee tab in HR Advance to replace the current photo grid, so that Administrators and HR can easily navigate through a large list of employees.

- Updated email templates: fresh new designs for news and webinar emails will start rolling out to subscribers over the coming weeks

  • Plain English Documents – select from five easy to understand documents, including a Code of Conduct and Email, Internet, Computer System Policy
  • Document Alerts, so you'll always know when your documents need reviewing or updating.
